Christmas is a time of reconciliation and closeness between people – and that was also the case during another Tradition Evening, held on Sunday, 14 December, in Łaziska near Bolesławiec.
Around 120 people took part in the event. The art groups prepared Christmas tree decorations. A nativity scene built from branches – without a single nail – appeared on stage. Under the watchful eye of women from the local Koło Gospodyń Wiejskich, the children shaped cookies and made dumplings filled with cabbage and mushrooms.
Carollers entertained the art and culinary groups as they worked. Zofia Michalska and Edward Krawczewski led the singing lessons. “Przybieżeli do Betlejem,” “Lulajże Jezuniu,” and “Cicha noc” were just some of the carols performed during this special evening.
The specialties prepared in the kitchen proved delicious. After dinner, young residents of Łaziska performed on stage.
The organizers of the Christmas Traditions Evening in Łaziska were councillor Grażyna Łucka, the Village Council, the Koło Gospodyń Wiejskich from Łaziska, and the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre.
