On October 7, the Lubin Cup 2017 karate tournament was held in Lubin, with athletes from 6 Lower Silesian clubs taking part. The City of Ceramics was represented by 9 karate practitioners from TOP Bolesławiec: Radek Burdzy, Mikołaj Olek, Jakub Skóra, Filip Matusiewicz, Maciej Graczyk, Adam Rosiński, Marcin Żebrowski, Michał Bieliński and Wiktor Małkowski.
At the first tournament after the summer break, Robert Bieliński’s students won as many as 9 medals, including 2 gold and 2 silver. The gold medals were won by Radosław Burdzy and Maciej Graczyk in the technical event (kihon). The silver medals went to Marcin Żebrowski in open-category fighting (kumite) and Jakub Skóra in kihon.
The bronze medals in kumite in their respective weight categories were won by: Mikołaj Olek, Adam Rosiński, Marcin Żebrowski, Michał Bieliński and Wiktor Małkowski
“Filip Matusiewicz also deserves recognition. After three difficult fights, he had to concede to an athlete from Lubin in the bout for third place,” says coach Robert Bieliński.
Congratulations, and we wish you continued success.
