Zgorzelec Border Guard officers accidentally managed to intercept drugs. The officers attempted to stop a car for a routine inspection on one of Zgorzelec’s streets. The vehicle’s driver ignored the order to stop and began to flee.
The escape did not succeed for the two men, Emilian M. from Mała Wieś Dolna and Wiesław M. from Bolesławiec. After several minutes of pursuit, they had to stop. However, Bolesławiec resident Wiesław M. did not give up and continued fleeing on foot. When he was caught, it turned out that his hand luggage contained 38 bags of marijuana with a total weight of nearly 1.9 kg and was worth over PLN 56,000.
Both men were handed over to the Zgorzelec police.
