Apart from the Ostrów Wielkopolski–Kluczbork, Ostrów Wielkopolski–Oleśnica, Zielona Góra–Czerwieńsk–Zbąszynek and Zielona Góra–Czerwieńsk–Rzepin sections, as well as Zielona Góra station, the railway network is currently passable. There are also disruptions at Poznań and Ostrów Wielkopolski stations. Disruptions on the Zielona Góra–Czerwieńsk section may last until tomorrow afternoon. PLK technical teams are working to restore traffic on regional lines in the Silesian Voivodeship: Mysłowice–Brzezinka and in the vicinity of Ustroń.
The German side is continuing the suspension of train services introduced yesterday at 6:00 p.m. Trains from Warsaw travel as far as Rzepin and return to Warsaw from Rzepin.
Twenty-four rescue locomotives are working on site to tow train sets and inspect railway lines. The infrastructure manager has 165 rapid fault-removal teams, 68 catenary repair trains and 20 railway technical rescue teams at its disposal.
During the night, railway operator PKP Intercity issued and delivered additional refreshments wherever possible. Technical services are working intensively around the clock to restore the operability of railway lines.
As a result of the storms, passengers should expect changes to train services—some trains may be cancelled. Trains may be routed along alternative routes, or replacement bus services may be introduced.
