A disturbing incident occurred in Mirsk. In the evening, the duty officer at the police station in Gryfów Śląski received a report of a robbery committed against an elderly woman. Police patrols were immediately sent to the scene. The officers managed to establish the course of events. The perpetrator entered the apartment through a window. When the elderly, 80-year-old woman heard some noise, she went into the bathroom and noticed a man. Holding metal brass knuckles in his hand, he threatened to use them against the woman and demanded money. The elderly woman handed the perpetrator PLN 600. The perpetrator then fled and drove away in a car in an unknown direction.
Criminal investigators quickly established many details of the incident, which were passed on to officers on patrol. After some time, a patrol in Gryfów Śląski noticed a man whose description matched that of the robbery suspect. Additionally, the man began to flee when he saw the police car. After a short chase, the suspect was arrested. During a search, officers found metal brass knuckles and a bunch of various car keys on the man. As a result of the officers' further work, the money was also recovered. Due to the crime committed, the District Court in Lwówek Śląski ordered the 21-year-old resident of Gryfów Śl. to be held in temporary detention for three months. Police officers are also continuing to determine whether the man committed any other crimes in Gryfów and Mirsk.
