During operational activities, police officers noticed the woman running a retail outlet in Bolesławiec leave her shop, go to a car and then take a large blue bag from the trunk. She then carried it into the shop.

As it turned out, the bag contained illegal tobacco. At the retail stand, police officers found and seized 30 packs of cigarettes without Polish excise duty markings and 5 kg of illegal tobacco, while in the car they found another 190 packs of cigarettes and 6.5 kg of tobacco. (In total, officers seized 11.5 kg of tobacco and 220 packs of cigarettes).

Police are currently investigating, among other things, where the illegal goods came from. The losses to the State Treasury were estimated at more than PLN 12,000.

The resident of Lubań County could face up to 3 years in prison.
