On Wednesday, 10 December, around 130 pupils from the Primary School in Kruszyn watched a St Nicholas Day performance prepared by employees of the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre in Bolesławiec, based in Kruszyn.
Santa Claus falls into depression. This year, he received a great many letters from children. The youngest convince him that they have been well behaved. Meanwhile, in their correspondence to the saint, their parents write that the opposite is true—this is how the St Nicholas Day performance begins, which children from Bożejowice, Brzeźnik, Dąbrowa, Kraśnik Dolny and Żeliszów have already had the opportunity to see.
Santa Claus and La Befana travel to various planets in the Solar System. They find no life there. They decide to return to Earth. The fairy assures the bearded saint that there are children there who know how to behave—who know what is good and what is bad.
They land... in Kruszyn, where they show the children scenes illustrating reprehensible behaviour—the pupils see people arguing in a shop, a footballer committing a foul on the pitch, a woman shouting at a child and a long-haired man listening to Metallica very loudly, ignoring his neighbour's protests.
The youngest children had to identify which behaviours were inappropriate and then act out the same scenes without negative emotions.
The performance featured Beata Widera (the fairy La Befana), Ryszard Rojek (St Nicholas) and residents of the District Youth Sociotherapy Centre in Iwiny. On Thursday, 11 December, children from Trzebień will see the performance.
