The tragedy occurred on Friday, 15 September, at the 37th kilometre of the A4 motorway, near Osieczów, in Osiecznica Municipality. The driver of a Renault minibus, a 39-year-old resident of Małopolskie Voivodeship, struck the rear of a truck travelling ahead of him for unknown reasons. The 39-year-old died at the scene.
Those stuck in the motorway traffic jam will be directed along the service road to Osieczów, Dobra and Bolesławiec. Those who are still approaching the scene of the tragedy will be directed to national road 94 at the Godzieszów junction. Drivers should be patient. The road from Osieczów through Dobra towards Bolesławiec is congested. Traffic jams are also forming on road 94. The queue of cars heading towards Bolesławiec already begins near the Lotos petrol station, between Brzeźnik and Parzyce.
The police and prosecutor’s office are determining the cause of the accident.
