– There are no lights on Bema Street, the street lamps are switched off, and after 10:00 p.m. they do not come on at all – a istotne.pl service was notified by a resident of Bolesławiec. – This has been happening for some time. It is worst when you return from work at night. We have to walk with flashlights.
The woman adds that now, with autumn and winter approaching, the lack of street lighting may cause even more problems.
We first contacted Łukasz Zimnoch, a spokesperson for Tauron. He told us that street lighting is administered by the Bolesławiec Municipality.
– There is no longer a problem on Bema Street – Genowefa Bogaczewicz from the City Hall told us on Friday, September 8. She added that the lighting on Bema Street had indeed stopped working at one point. However, the fault was repaired. – I was on that street on Thursday, at around 10:00 p.m. All the lamps were lit. The lighting is working again. Five lamps on Mostowa Street are out, but that fault is currently being repaired – she emphasized.
The lighting outages mentioned by the reader are probably connected with the modernization of the lighting system currently being carried out by Tauron. Unfortunately, we were unable to confirm this information (today we were unable to contact the company’s Bolesławiec energy station).
We will return to this subject.
