The court in Bolesławiec granted the application submitted by the district prosecutor for the temporary detention of a 35-year-old resident of Bolesławiec who, on 20 August, attacked two people with a machete, striking them repeatedly around the head and face.
The perpetrator of the attack was detained and brought to the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec, where he was charged with attempting to cause serious bodily harm. (One of the injured people sustained serious injuries.)
The 35-year-old knife attacker was placed in temporary detention for three months. He faces up to 15 years in prison. The investigation is being conducted by the Bolesławiec prosecutor’s office.
