The project by Bolesławiec residents, which we wrote about in the article Help two-wheel fans! Vote for an exceptional Bolesławiec project!, involves organising international XC cycling competitions on 31 March next year, preceded by thorough preparation, renovation and reconstruction of the existing route. The initiators plan to create infrastructure characteristic of this type of route there – so-called rock gardens, ramps and more.
People could vote on 61 projects from across the region. Nearly 15,000 votes were cast in total! The projects that received funding from the Marshal’s Office included the Bolesławiec initiative. Next year, therefore, we can look forward to the International XC Cycling Race – Lower Silesian Cross Country Season Opening 2018! The event’s initiators will receive PLN 38,000 from the Voivodeship’s budget.
“This year, too, the ‘Active Lower Silesia’ civic budget enjoyed popularity. Interesting projects won, thanks to which numerous sporting events for both children and adults will take place in our region. I am pleased that the people of Lower Silesia are keen to participate with us in building the voivodeship’s sports and tourism brand.
