Officers from the Bolesławiec traffic police, patrolling the roads of Bolesławiec Municipality on motorcycles, noticed a vehicle approaching from the opposite direction in one of the localities. They decided to stop it for a check. They gave the driver a signal to stop, but he had no intention of doing so. On the contrary, he accelerated significantly. He then turned into a side street and continued his escape on foot.
After a while, the 23-year-old was detained. It turned out that the fleeing driver had been drinking alcohol. What is more, the man did not have a driving licence, and his car had not been approved for road use.
Under the new regulations, the driver faces up to 5 years in prison.
