Last Thursday, a 40-year-old resident of the municipality drowned at the swimming pool in Osiecznica. “The proceedings in this case are ongoing, and witnesses are being questioned,” istotne.pl was told by Ewa Łomnicka, head of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec. The autopsy performed on Monday showed that the man had drowned. However, it turned out that he had not been suffering from any illness.

“I am unable to state the final cause of death,” the district prosecutor admits. Histopathological and toxicological tests will also be carried out.

The prosecutor’s office is conducting proceedings to determine whether the swimming pool employees may have exposed the man to the danger of loss of life. Investigators are checking whether negligence occurred. We will return to the topic.
