On Tuesday, July 25, a ceremony marking Police Holiday was held at the Old Theatre in Bolesławiec. “We continue to serve people selflessly and eagerly, regardless of changing regulations and procedures. We are always ready to help those in need and demonstrate full determination in the fight against criminals,” said during the ceremony junior inspector Dariusz Borski, head of the Bolesławiec police. He added: “Today, it is impossible not to mention our allies, without whom it would be difficult to imagine our operations. They include local government authorities, offices, other uniformed services, organizations and residents of the county.”

The ceremony was also an opportunity to award promotions to higher ranks. Among those promoted were county police chief D. Borski and his deputy Ryszard Podbucki. (Both became junior inspectors).

There were also words of thanks from local government officials. It is worth noting that Bolesławiec Deputy Mayor Kornel Filipowicz presented Dariusz Borski with a pledge for 10 copiers, which the Bolesławiec police are due to receive as a gift from the Municipality of Bolesławiec tomorrow. Meanwhile, the uniformed officers received multifunction devices (copiers, scanners and printers) worth PLN 2,500 from Bolesławiec County.

During the ceremony, the county police chief presented flowers to Helena Kowal, the daughter of a police officer killed in Ostashkov, and to Genowefa Sikorska, the mother of an officer who died in the line of duty.
