The problems of the residents of the so-called Suszki Górne began last autumn, when the Bolesławiec–Lwówek Śląski road was closed for renovation. During the school year, things were bearable because buses stopped there regularly. But then the holidays came. Now the elderly, ill and non-motorised residents have trouble getting to Bolesławiec because buses no longer reach their stop. The nearest one is two kilometres away.

Those with cars, meanwhile, have to travel an additional 18–20 kilometres on their way to work. They add that this generates enormous costs.

“None of the residents has contacted me about this matter. If someone does, we will investigate it and take appropriate action,” Karol Stasik, the Bolesławiec district head, told istotne.pl. Karol Stasik adds that the situation of the residents of Suszki should improve after next Tuesday, that is, after 25 July. We will return to the subject.
