Radio Wnet visited Nowogrodziec. During Monday’s “Morning” programme, journalist Krzysztof Skowroński spoke, among others, with Hydro-Tech company president Jacek Ruchała, director of the Gminne Centrum Kultury i Sportu Eliza Szwed, the Gościszowianki group, as well as businesspeople: Józef Rutyna, Bogusław Szelechowicz and Leopold Wołoszyn.

The programme also featured a statement by Nowogrodziec mayor Robert Relich, who said that counties are unnecessary. “They have no money, they are not hierarchical local governments, and they have no authority over gminas. They do not perform their duties properly, which is very dangerous for the local community,” the head of the gmina listed. He added: “It is worth considering returning powers and responsibilities to gmina local governments.”

It is worth adding that Radio Wnet came to Nowogrodziec at the invitation of R. Relich. As K. Skowroński explained: “The mayor invited us because we were once the only media outlet interested in the dispute between Nowogrodziec and the Bauer printing house, which wanted to recover money it had rightfully paid to the gmina. After several years, the case was won, and the gmina did not have to return millions of złotys to the Bauer printing house. The matter ended happily.”
