Bolesławiec remains attractive to investors who see profits in constructing facilities and renting out retail space. The city currently has Galeria Bolesławiec City Center and Park Handlowy Stara Mleczarnia. Another, already third, shopping facility is being built on the grounds of the PKS bus station. Shopping parks are also planned at the eastern PKP station (Stary Dworzec) and on Kościuszki Street, where there is also to be a McDolnad's.
However, Bolesławiec residents still complain that they travel to Legnica, Zgorzelec and Wrocław to shop. They say that well-known brands such as H&M, Empik and Douglas are missing from Bolesławiec.
