On July 1, the duty officer of the Bolesławiec Municipal Police received a report about a dog running around near Słowackiego Street. A patrol was sent to the scene and caught the four-legged animal shortly afterward. It turned out that the animal had a microchip, but was not listed in the database maintained by the Bolesławiec Municipal Police.
The dog was nevertheless recognized by the municipal officers. In mid-June, the officers had already intervened in his case. At that time, the dog was taken to the Shelter for Homeless Animals in Przylasek in Przylasek.
A shelter employee informed the officers that the dog had been adopted. The animal's owner was notified about the matter. She promised that she would pick up her pet on July 3. She did not do so, stating that she no longer wanted him and did not intend to collect him.
Bolesławiec Municipal Police reminds residents that dog owners have many responsibilities, and an animal is not a toy that can be discarded when it becomes boring.
