An exceptionally talented group of Polish and German amateur singers has been training under the supervision of a professional instructional team throughout the week in order to perform at two Final Concerts: on July 8 in Bolesławiec and the following day in Zittau. Both concerts and the vocal workshop are part of the project “Culture without borders – Renovation of the Amphitheater in the Municipal Park in Bolesławiec and the open-air stage »Weinau« in Zittau”.

Twenty people from Poland and Germany are taking part in the week-long workshop. In addition to typical workshop exercises, the first sessions involve selecting songs for the Final Concerts, choosing a key appropriate for each participant, and matching a musical arrangement to each performer. An excellent team of professionals oversees all musical aspects: Kasia Wilk – singer, Marta Podulka – singer, Daniel Grupa – pianist, composer and arranger, and Jan Sawiński – pianist.

The young artists at the Final Concerts will be accompanied by an outstanding trio of accompanists: Jan Sawiński (piano), Marcin Gromnicki (bass) and Karol Pietsch (drums). In addition to the workshop participants, we will also hear the instructor Marta Podulka, a singer associated with the Poznań-based band 7sekund. In 2001, she appeared on the program “Mam talent” (finishing in third place), and in 2013/14 she performed, among other events, at the 50th Festival of Polish Song in Opole, in the SuperDebiuty concert, and at the TOPtrendy festival.

Final Concerts:

  • July 8, 7:00 p.m. – Amphitheater in the Municipal Park on Tyrankiewiczów Street
  • July 9, 4:00 p.m. – the “Weinau” open-air stage in Zittau.

Admission to the concerts is free!
