TS Parzyce are one of three teams promoted from the Jelenia Góra A-class to the regional league. In addition to the Group III leaders, the Group II leaders, namely Victoria Ruszów, and the Group I leaders, namely Orzeł Wojcieszów, will also play in the regional league.
After the final round, in which Parzyce drew 0–0 with LKS Ocice, it became clear that the team from the Municipality of Nowogrodziec would play in the regional league next season. Here is what was posted on the Facebook profile of TS about the completed season and the final push for promotion:
A winning draw to end the season! TS Parzyce champions!
“When the emotions have subsided, like dust after a great battle…”—quoting the words of a classic, the song by Perfekt—this is perhaps the best way to describe how intensely we experienced together the events of the entire past season. There was no shortage of emotion in the decisive championship match either. TS Parzyce entered the final round as leaders, with a two-point advantage over second-placed BKS Bolesławiec. With a better head-to-head record against their most dangerous rivals, Radosław Szajwaj’s team needed one point to celebrate final victory.
Aware of the challenge before them, the players tried from the very beginning to decide the match in their favor. Several very good and well-constructed attacks unfortunately did not result in the opening goal. On a sunny afternoon, in front of a very large crowd, we repeatedly wasted excellent scoring opportunities. With a decisive advantage in play and more possession, we went into halftime level at 0–0. Knowing how unpredictable sport can be, we approached the final 45 minutes of the season with concentration. The second half looked much like the first. Our dominance was beyond question, but as they say, in football what matters is what ends up in the net. Late in the match, the best opportunity arose—the referee awarded a penalty after a foul on our player-coach. Krzysztof Szymański stepped up to the ball placed on the penalty spot. Unfortunately, the visiting goalkeeper read his intentions, and we had to forget about complete joy. We were unable to score the winning goal in the final minutes, and the match against Ocice ended in a goalless draw. There was no shortage of emotion until the final minutes of the season, but in summary, the task was completed and the goal achieved. Without looking at the result of our most dangerous rival’s match, being played simultaneously, we could begin celebrating with the final whistle.
We have had a wonderful season. Coach Radosław Szajwaj put together a team that met expectations. In 26 rounds played, we left the pitch as winners 21 times, drew three times and suffered just two defeats. We did not taste defeat at home—jokingly calling the Parzyce ground a “fortress” that opponents failed to conquer. The players’ goal record is impressive: 80 scored, averaging more than three goals per match, and only 17 conceded, an average of 0.65 goals per match. Our defense, with Cezary Purta in goal, was the best defense in the entire Jelenia Góra district across the three competition groups.
As a team, we would like to thank all our supporters, fans and families. Without you, this success would not taste nearly as wonderful. We felt your presence and support at every match. In keeping with the Polish Football Association’s slogan, “football unites us.” We are proud that we were able to bring joy so many times. In addition, we repeatedly provided emotional rollercoasters whose scripts would not have embarrassed even the greatest action-film directors. It is an honor to create TS Parzyce’s history. We hope to turn this historic success into hard work and motivation to compete for the highest goals in the regional league again next season. A team is not only its players, but also its officials, people who are friendly toward us, and supporters. Together we can achieve more. Guided by this principle, we want to continue developing. We are ambitious and set ourselves new goals. We count on your support!
See you again soon!
