The match began with determined attacks by the Bolesławiec team. The hosts quickly built a six-point lead. However, Olimpia’s players reduced the deficit even faster, and in the sixth minute the scoreboard showed a 7–7 tie. The next two minutes brought a basket-for-basket exchange. The turning point of this part of the game came between the seventh and ninth minutes. StarBol’s players then pulled 10 points clear of their opponents and held that advantage until the end of the first quarter.
The second quarter began similarly to the first—with attacks by the hosts. In the second minute, the Bolesławiec team’s lead had already reached 20 points, and just before the end of the quarter it grew to as many as 30 points. Ultimately, the first half ended with StarBol leading 61–34.
The substantial lead clearly caused the Bolesławiec players to relax; nevertheless, after three quarters StarBol led Olimpia 73–40.
In the final seconds of the game, thanks to a shot by Krzysztof Buciak, StarBol surpassed the magic 100-point barrier. As many as three players from Bolesławiec finished the game with more than 20 points.
All the players listed on the game sheet appeared on the court during the match. For several of them, it was their debut in senior basketball.
