He had 2.5 per mille of alcohol in his blood. The 19-year-old resident of Wykroty, Radosław S., whose body was found on June 17 on the tracks near Mrozów, was drunk. The police have already questioned Andrzej Z., with whom the teenager was traveling. As Janusz Markiewicz, a police spokesperson from Środa Śląska, reported, both men were put off different trains twice for not having tickets. There were no skinheads in the carriages, as the media had reported, and no one had harassed the teenagers.
Andrzej testified that he and Radosław drank several bottles of wine at the station in Mrozów and fell asleep on a bench. When Andrzej woke up at night, Radosław was no longer beside him. The man thought that his friend had gone to Wrocław and boarded the next train himself. The version of Radosław’s death established after the autopsy is that the young man died while passing between carriages in a drunken state.
It is not known why various Bolesławiec media outlets spread information about the alleged beating of the young man and his being thrown from a moving train. Under the pretext of the 19-year-old’s death, young people even organized a march against violence and racism.
