The incident took place at around 8:00 a.m. in Mirsk (Lwówek County). The driver of an Opel, travelling from the direction of Świeradów-Zdrój, failed to yield to councillor Maciej Małkowski, who was riding a Yamaha motorcycle. A collision occurred.
The injured councillor was taken to a hospital in Lubań. As we have established, fortunately—and contrary to exaggerated reports by other media outlets—he did not suffer anything more serious. He has a bruised leg (injuries expected to heal within fewer than 7 days).
The person responsible for the collision will be fined.
