The following councillors took part in the work of the Infrastructure, Spatial Planning and Construction Committee of the Bolesławiec City Council: Adam Biesiadecki, Mirosław Sołtyszewski, Stanisław Wiącek, Piotr Klasa and Arkadiusz Krzemiński. The City Hall was represented by Genowefa Bogaczewicz and Tomasz Szefer.

At the residents’ request, committee members visited streets including Kosiby, Starzyńskiego, Bielska, Cicha, Karola Miarki, Orzeszkowa, Góralska, Opitza, Świerkowa, Zabobrze and Parkowa.

“Under my chairmanship, the committee will work for the people rather than engage in political PR,” emphasizes Wojciech Kasprzyk. “In Poland, we have had enough of those who constantly make promises and play political games. This committee is simply meant to solve problems—to the extent that they fall within its remit.”

During the work, topics related to parking spaces, roads, bus stops and tree trimming were discussed. An important part of the off-site meeting was a visit to Konstytucji 3 Maja Street, where residents want two-way traffic to be introduced, effectively eliminating the one-way road. The councillors discussed the problem at length. (The residents were unaware that this would mean the loss of parking spaces.) Local government officials will return to the matter.

The committee chair also pointed to the need to build an access ramp with stairs on Starzyńskiego Street (an access route to the Dino store). In addition, the committee was called to Zabobrze Street, where residents complained about the stench of decomposing vegetation. Councillor Adam Biesiadecki became involved in the matter. The municipal police arrived at the site and carried out an inspection.
