This year’s star of the Balkan Festa will be the Veselin Masleša ensemble, which will perform at a concert on June 2 in the gymnasium of the School and Preschool Complex in Brzeźnik. The concert begins at 6:00 p.m., and admission is free. Saturday will be more active: at 11:00 a.m., all active people are invited to take part in the Run for Memories, which will start at the entrance by the reservoir in Krępnica. Children, teenagers and adults may participate. This is the last moment to submit an application. Also on Saturday, there will be Making Music Together by the Fire. Those interested are invited to the green area by Hotel Europa in Kruszyn. We start at 8:00 p.m., and attendees are guaranteed a generous dose of music and dancing. Admission will cost PLN 10.
The culmination of all the activities will be Sunday’s Balkan Festa, which will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the sports field in Bolesławice. The organizers have prepared plenty of attractions for everyone, regardless of age. Visitors will be able to try their hand at pita-making workshops; inflatables will be available for children, while food lovers will find catering stalls offering, in addition to pita and pečenica, many Polish and Balkan dishes. Throughout the day, ensembles with Polish and Balkan-rooted repertoires will perform on stage. The evening’s star will be the Veselin Masleša ensemble, and the Festa will conclude with a dance party.
