During the weekend events, customers of Nowy Rynek will be able to visit three Lego zones dedicated to the iconic series of the Danish brick manufacturer. Numerous competitions will be held in each of them, with Lego sets, of course, up for grabs.
The youngest visitors will find Lego Duplo in the Ryniu’s Academy zone on the first floor of the shopping centre—bricks intended for children aged 1.5 to 5, enabling creative play that supports learning and child development. Duplo sets strengthen little ones’ imagination and creativity. They teach children to distinguish colours and shapes and understand what size and quantity mean.
Lego City enthusiasts will be able to test themselves by creating cities of the future in the shopping centre’s event zone on level 0. Playing with this series of bricks is not only a lesson in how modern cities function, but also in the social role of selected professions, such as doctors, police officers, firefighters and engineers.
For school-age children, the most advanced zone—Lego Robots—will be created. On the first floor of the shopping centre, near the Quoisque salon, visitors will be able to use the Education series to design their own robot and assign it specific tasks. Workshops with an instructor will introduce participants to the practical applications of knowledge from mathematics and physics, as well as basic programming skills.
“Every year, more than 400 million people use Lego products. It is an activity that engages not only the youngest children but can also develop into a lifelong passion. For us, it was particularly important that the Danish manufacturer’s brick sets are designed to develop children’s natural abilities and encourage them to explore, among other things, the secrets of programming,” emphasises Anna Szlaga, Marketing Manager of Nowy Rynek shopping centre, explaining that this year’s Children’s Day theme was not chosen by chance.
There are currently special Lego Robotics clubs operating in Poland, where future engineers are probably being trained. We hope that the attractions organised by Nowy Rynek will inspire the youngest residents of Jelenia Góra and the surrounding area to develop their skills.
