The “Her and Him” series aimed to showcase the work of people from Bolesławiec and the surrounding area—both well-known figures and those just beginning their artistic journey. On Friday, November 7, at Galeria Concordia, viewers had the opportunity to see an exhibition of paintings and drawings by Bożena Mazurkiewicz, Jagoda Siegień, Magdalena Konieczna, Mirosława Bednarowicz, Katarzyna Kłopotek, Justyna Turek and Katarzyna Sas. The exhibition was accompanied by Ewelina Pankowska’s monodrama “dobre ciało”. After the performance, the 59-700 band played a one-hour concert.
Attendance at Friday’s opening exceeded the expectations of both the organizers and visitors. “I believe the project was a huge success,” Grzegorz Roman told the IstotneInformacje.pl portal, the project coordinator. “I am very pleased and surprised that this project has generated such a response.”
The final installment of the “Her and Him” initiative is now over. This does not mean, however, that the organizers intend to rest on their laurels. “In the first project, we showed that there are people in Bolesławiec who are doing things. In the second, we will show others that they have the opportunity to do so,” Grzegorz Roman announces. The creators of the “Her and Him” project plan to organize drumming, movement and theater workshops, combined with exhibitions, concerts and happenings. “We want to take action,” Roman emphasizes. “We cannot organize something every week, although that is what I would like,” he adds.
The next project begins on November 21. It will open with performances by theaters from Wrocław.
