Our Reader recently wrote to us that Dolne Młyny Street is “some kind of disaster: potholes, puddles and loads of idiots who don’t give a damn that people are walking with small children”. The woman from Bolesławiec was walking along the street with her family on Sunday. And not only were they all splashed by a boorish driver, but a piece of asphalt also fell from beneath the wheels of one of the vehicles and hit the Reader’s young son in the leg, fortunately without causing serious injury.
On Monday – following our intervention – the district road workers announced that they would repair the potholes on Dolne Młyny Street. And they kept their word: the potholes were filled on Wednesday, 17 May.
“This won’t solve anything; a thorough renovation is needed,” a resident of the street told us today. She added that she was considering organising a street protest over the matter. We will return to the topic.
