A meeting with students from Years 1–6 was led by Senior Sergeant Beata Sosulska-Baran, a crime prevention specialist with the Prevention Division of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra. The talk addressed online violence and preventing physical and psychological aggression. Information about the legal consequences was also provided.
The police officer discussed issues related to cyberbullying, as well as the legal aspects of using mobile phones and the internet.
The main objectives of the activities are:
- improving the safety of children and school students in Jelenia Góra by reducing internet-related risks
- reducing negative behaviour, including juvenile aggression
- raising students’ awareness of the criminal liability of minors for criminal acts committed
- reducing the phenomenon of demoralisation and crime among children and young people.
