The main aim of the Road Safety Knowledge Tournament, held this year on April 26 at Gimnazjum Samorządowe No. 2 in Bolesławiec, is to promote the regulations and principles of safe travel on roads and to foster cooperative behavior toward other road users. The competition was organized, among others, in cooperation with police officers from the Traffic Department of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec and the Voivodeship Road Traffic Centre in Jelenia Góra. This year’s edition of the tournament was attended by teams representing 16 primary schools and 8 lower-secondary schools from our county.
Final standings in the lower-secondary school category:
- Gimnazjum Samorządowe No. 2
- Gimnazjum Samorządowe No. 1
- Gimnazjum Samorządowe No. 4.
And in the primary school category:
- Primary School in Żeliszów
- Primary School in Gierałtów
- Primary School in Brzeźnik.
The students received diplomas and prizes funded by the Road Traffic Centre in Jelenia Góra, Bank Zachodni WBK and Carrefour. The tournament’s best competitor, a student from Gimnazjum Samorządowe No. 2 in Bolesławiec, was awarded a bicycle.
District Police Commander Insp. Dariusz Borski thanked everyone for taking part and congratulated the winners, wishing them further success at the voivodeship level.
