The Voivodeship Competition “Skilled in the Profession: Bricklayer-Plasterer” was held at the Bolesławiec Voluntary Labour Corps. The event was organised by the Lower Silesian Voivodeship OHP Headquarters in Wrocław, the Voluntary Labour Corps in Bolesławiec and Bolesławiec’s “Budowlanka”.

Five teams took part in the masonry competition (from Legnica, Bolesławiec, Przemków, Ziębice and Strzelin). The hosts’ team, consisting of Jakub Krzyśko and Piotr Drozd, took first place. The bricklayer-plasterers from Przemków came second. The team from Legnica placed third. The team from the Construction School Complex in Bolesławiec will represent Lower Silesia in the national stage.

The competition was held at the Construction School Complex in Bolesławiec. The school’s headmaster, Jacek Jurkiewicz, made available to the participants workshops that are among the best equipped with construction equipment. Józef Kiełbowicz, a teacher at the Construction School Complex, prepared them for the competition.

The authorities of the County and the City supported the event by funding commemorative gifts for the young participants. The guests included County Head Karol Stasik, head of the Guild of Various Crafts and Small Businesses Urszula Róg, as well as friendly employers.
