The group singing will take place on Thursday, April 27, at 12:30 p.m. in the square in front of the school on Bielska Street. The ceremony, “The National Anthem Unites Generations,” was prepared to mark the 90th anniversary of “The Song of the Polish Legions in Italy”—that is, “Dąbrowski’s Mazurka”—being established as the national anthem. The middle school students will have the lyrics, including all the verses, prepared for attendees, along with a brief history of how the Song of the Polish Legions in Italy became our anthem.
After Jarosław Kaczyński’s well-known unsuccessful performance of the anthem, it is worth learning this most important Polish song properly, so as not to embarrass oneself in public.
