Bicycles still reign supreme, but not just any ordinary ones—for First Communion, people buy branded bicycles. A watch is another option, but if so, it is usually a smartwatch, an intelligent wristwatch. Children often collect money to buy their dream mobile phone or other electronic equipment: a laptop, tablet or gaming console. How much do we put in an envelope with a First Communion gift? Some lucky children will receive a quad bike as a gift. Less affluent families opt for an electric scooter. Nine-year-olds eagerly await this special day, rich in gifts. Of course, when asked about gifts, godparents also say that they will buy the child a Bible, a gold medal or even a rosary, but this will always be only an addition to the main gift or money.
