On Saturday (8 April), BKS hosted Chrobry Nowogrodziec at Spółdzielcza Street. The Bolesławiec team wanted to avenge the opponent’s autumn defeat in Nowogrodziec (0–2), and they began the match highly focused and motivated. In the first half, BKS’s superiority was undisputed. The hosts played carefully and effectively in defence and had more of the ball.
The Chrobry players appeared lost and helpless. They were unable to break through BKS’s defence and seriously threaten the goal guarded by Dawid Kizyma. The hosts’ advantage was reflected on the scoreboard in the 15th minute. After an assist from Sławomir Iskrzak, Mirosław Markowski found himself one-on-one with the visiting goalkeeper and put BKS ahead with a shot into the right corner. In the 44th minute, the same player made it 2–0 with a shot into the top corner.
After the teams changed ends, the game looked similar. BKS played more mature football and showed that, in this match, experience prevailed over youth. The visitors only came into the game around the 70th minute. There were several dangerous moments in front of the Bolesławiec goal, but Chrobry failed to score even a consolation goal. Towards the end of the match, fatigue began to affect the hosts, and the visitors had several chances to score; however, they lacked finishing on the day. BKS deservedly won and avenged the autumn defeat in Nowogrodziec. Saturday’s match attracted considerable interest. Around 350 fans watched the game. BKS will play its next match in two weeks in Parzyce.
