The ceremony for presenting Medals for Long Marital Life took place on Saturday, April 1, at the Wedding Palace in Bolesławiec. – Fifty years, and in particular fifty-five years of uninterrupted, harmonious married life, are momentous anniversaries. They are anniversaries that inspire human emotion, respect and the appreciation of friends and all people who understand the important role played by the family. The durability of the family, the shared concern for livelihood, raising children and fulfilling civic duties toward the Homeland mean a great deal to society – said Bolesławiec mayor Piotr Roman.
Józefa and Mirosław Długoszowie celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Alicja and Józef Piekarzowie, as well as Sabina and Jerzy Rycerzowie, celebrated 50 years of marriage. During the ceremony, the couples were honored with certificates and medals. Piotr Roman decorated the distinguished anniversary celebrants on behalf of the President of the Republic of Poland. The ceremony was enhanced by a performance by students of the State Music School in Bolesławiec.
