How should national flags be arranged on flagpoles, staffs and pennants? What is a flag, ensign or banner, and what are the national colours? Do state colours always take precedence, and how should voivodeship and county flags be arranged to avoid mistakes? These and many other questions are answered in a simple and accessible way by a guide published by the Ministry of the Interior and Administration in cooperation with the Social Communications Office of the General Police Headquarters.
The 32-page publication provides solutions for specific situations. It was compiled by Alfred Znamierowski, a member of the Polish Heraldic Society and the Heraldic Commission at the Ministry of the Interior and Administration. The richly illustrated brochure is a compendium of knowledge with ready-made solutions that will help hosts of visits at every level avoid mistakes, while ensuring that every visiting delegation is welcomed in accordance with established rules.
