In an interview, Andrzej Janusz (37), leader of Sumptuastic, referred to the December accident and assessed the investigators' work:

It turned into a scandal. Instead of focusing on providing assistance, the ambulance crew decided that notifying all the services and the media would be the most important thing. A bomb technician lost a finger while sweeping up the remains of the substance I had made. Another one also caused an explosion. […] I get the impression that if someone works in an elite unit, they do not make such radical mistakes. [...] I was questioned. […] Two men threatened me; one wanted to tear my head off. They claimed that I was making booby traps.

He also spoke about the injuries he suffered:

Three fingers are no longer the way they were. Ruptured eardrums, one damaged eye. Will it return to normal? Certainly not. You could say that I became disabled.

On his political views:

I would suggest learning what the ONR is. Its main activity is supporting veterans, [...] and educating people about patriotism. Its credo is: Homeland, God and Family. […] I believe that my fans are not xenophobic or anti-nationalist. I know people who are members of the ONR and they are not the kind of people portrayed on television, as a gang of troublemakers. Nationalism is not German fascism; it is more like “our home is our home” [...]. When something bad happens at home, we stand together and defend it.

The interview also included a question about the breakup of Sumptuastic. Andrzej Janusz:

It was almost 17 wonderful years. The worst moment for an artist is when burnout sets in. [...] The people I started with, and the idea itself, lost their importance over all those years. […] The final straw was the first departure from the band; it was Iza. It was due to a bad relationship with my bad former manager, Damian Sawczak. This replacing of people and the belief that anyone can be replaced. Then it happened like an avalanche. Each of the girls left on her own. [...] I no longer have that feeling of looking forward to leaving for a concert. I could sometimes say that I perform [jadę na koncert]“as punishment”. […] This is the farewell year. There is a concert tour and an album, which I recommend.

According to Wikipedia, the National-Radical Camp (ONR) is “a Polish nationalist organization accused of promoting totalitarian ideologies (fascism and Nazism).”

Let us recall that in December last year, we reported that an explosion of an as-yet unidentified substance occurred in the garage of a single-family house in the Kwiatowe housing estate in Bolesławiec.

Andrzej Janusz, vocalist of Sumptuastic, was injured in the incident. He was provided with medical assistance. At the scene, under the supervision of a prosecutor and with the participation of specialized services, the basement rooms and the entire building were inspected. The vocalist explained that he wanted to show his godson how to fire a shot using saltpetre. He decided to prepare the mixture himself. The substance exploded in his hands. His hands, chest and eyes were injured.

Andrzej Janusz denied even then that he had been preparing an attack. He said this because symbols of the National-Radical Camp had been found in his basement.
