On 8 March, the Polish Institute in Rome, the most prestigious institution promoting artists and cultural events connected with our country, hosted the opening of the “From Bolesławiec Clay” exhibition. The exhibition was organized by the Association of Ceramic Municipalities of the Republic of Poland and the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec, and also featured unique patterns by “Ceramika Artystyczna” Spółdzielnia Rękodzieła Artystycznego in Bolesławiec. The exhibition will be presented at the Polish Institute in Rome until 15 May 2017.
Bolesławiec was represented by:
- Piotr Roman – Mayor of Bolesławiec
- Krzysztof Hewak – Head of the Municipal Development and Promotion Department, President of the Association of Ceramic Municipalities of the Republic of Poland
- Anna Bober-Tubaj – Director of the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec.
The “Ceramika Artystyczna” Spółdzielnia Rękodzieła Artystycznego in Bolesławiec was represented by:
- Helena Smoleńska – President of the Management Board
- Mariusz Ochocki – Artistic Director, Chief Designer
- Paulina Stefańczyk – Advertising and Promotion Specialist.
The official opening of the exhibition was led by Prof. Agnieszka Bender, PhD – Director of the Polish Institute in Rome. Numerous guests attended the opening: Tomasz Orłowski – Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Italy; Ambassador Aleksandra Orłowska; Stefano Collina – Senator of the Italian Republic, President of the Italian Association of Ceramic Cities and the European Association of Ceramic Cities; Ewa Mamaj – Head of the Consular Section of the Polish Embassy in Rome; Cristina Górajski-Visconti – Honorary Consul in Ancona; Ewa Widak – President of the Italian-Polish Association of the City and Province of Salerno; Magdalena Trudzik – Second Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Italy; Michele Antoniani – Mayor of Vallecorsa; and Augusto Agostini – Mayor of Acuto.
