Officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters identified a man involved in selling illegal tobacco and cigarettes. The man was carrying out his activities in one of the legally operating shops in the county. The suspect had tobacco and cigarettes without Polish excise tax markings in his possession. Even more illegal goods were found in his car.
In total, the officers secured nearly 150 packs of cigarettes and almost 7 kilograms of cut tobacco. Further proceedings in the case will be conducted by the tax authorities.
The man could face up to 3 years in prison, as well as substantial fines.
