The IPN files indicate that secret collaborator Marek worked with the services just before the change of system in Poland, in 1988–1989. In his 2010 vetting declaration, Jan Cołokidzi wrote that he had not collaborated with the secret services.
After the IPN published the files, speculation about the matter began in Bolesławiec. Some believe that it was impossible to acquire the money the entrepreneur obtained during the period of PZPR rule without cooperating with the party. Others wonder whether this information could harm Cołokidzi within Stowarzyszenie Ziemia Bolesławiecka. They are also wondering whether Maciej Małkowski will use this opportunity for himself to take the helm of the Association.
Update: 2017-03-06
On March 6, Jan Cołokidzi issued a statement saying that he had signed the declaration on the assumption from the outset that he would not undertake any cooperation. Details in our report: Cołokidzi: I signed the cooperation declaration because I was threatened.
