Three groups of dancers were involved in this large-scale musical production. The youngest, Promyki (children aged 7–9), older children from the Nocturn group (up to age 15), and young people from the Modus group. In total, almost 70 young dancers performed on stage. The performance was highly energetic and lively, with interesting arrangements. It told a story about the passage of time, life, seizing the moment, time spent on unnecessary conflict, and love and closeness with another person.
In several scenes, the dancers presented the cycle of life, beginning with childhood games; they showed teenage fears, rebellions and mistakes, and referred to the most important moments in human life, such as relationships and love.
The reflective performance “Kairos – Make Use of Time” was created by dance instructor Halina Bałacka-Kłak. The recordings and sound editing were handled by Piotr Gnyszka, Leszek Rzepka operated the lighting, and Krzysztof Korczyński provided sound for the performance.
The performance will be repeated on Friday, March 3, at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Students from Bolesławiec schools will attend the performance.
Young dancers from BOK-MCC win prizes and distinctions in regional and national competitions. Dance performances presented by the studio in the Forum hall have always been hugely popular. In September 2014, the premiere of the dance performance “From One Lump of Clay” took place. Through dance, the performers told the story of Bolesławiec ceramics over the centuries. In April 2015, the studio presented the dance performance “Metanoia.” In December 2015, the dancers took part in a musical production based on the fairy tale “The Lion King,” prepared by the BOK-MCC music and dance studios.
