Music and educational classes held as part of the Orchestra are open for registration Monday to Friday, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., in the orchestra’s rehearsal room in the building of the Zgorzelec County Office (8 Bohaterów II Armii Wojska Polskiego Street). “We warmly invite school-age children and young people,” the class organizers say.
The Zgorzelec Mandolin Orchestra was established at the Municipal Cultural Centre in Zgorzelec in 1989. Its founder, arranger and conductor was the late Tadeusz Grudziński. The orchestra is currently conducted by Dominik Lewicki. The ensemble’s repertoire already includes several hundred works from various genres of Polish and world music.
“We invite young and ambitious people who want to learn to play various instruments, meet their peers and embark on their own musical adventure,” the Orchestra’s representatives add. Details are available on the Zgorzelec County website.
