Anna Zalewska, head of the education ministry in the government of Beata Szydło, presented special acknowledgments to teachers who were winners of the 2016 European eTwinning Competition for implementing international projects, were awarded the National and European Quality Labels, and received prizes in the national “Our eTwinning Project 2016” competition.

Among the best were Teresa Prokowska and Izabela Kulpa from Municipal School Complex No. 2 in Bolesławiec.

The presentation of diplomas to the honored teachers took place at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. eTwinning is a European community of schools cooperating through electronic media. It offers an opportunity to expand the range of educational possibilities provided to students and teachers, motivates them to learn and open up to Europe. The program has already brought together nearly 450,000 teachers—more than 40,000 in Poland—from 175,000 schools, who together work on more than 50,000 diverse projects each year.

More information is available on the website of the National eTwinning Office.
