During Wednesday’s city council session, councillor Wojciech Kasprzyk submitted an interpellation concerning the construction of stairs to the Dino supermarket in the 40th Anniversary housing estate. At present, the same steep road to the store is used by pedestrians, drivers and suppliers (vans and lorries). The councillor described the situation on his Facebook profile:

Today I am submitting an interpellation concerning the Dino supermarket on Starzyńskiego Street, namely the lack of stairs and the problems residents of the estate have getting to the store. On 17 January 2011, I sent a letter to Dino’s president, but he did not reply. Today I am submitting an interpellation to support this initiative.

In the letter addressed to Dino’s president, the councillor asked for stairs and handrails to be built to make it easier for seniors and people with disabilities to reach the store. Councillor Kasprzyk also sent a letter to the city president asking for help with the matter.

“We will try to support this initiative; we’ll see what comes of it,” announced Iwona Mandżuk-Dudek, deputy to city president Piotr Roman.
