By decision of the Competition Jury, the title of Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 was awarded to Przedsiębiorstwo Wodociągów i Kanalizacji w Bolesławcu Sp. z o.o. The Kazimierz statuette, an award designed and made by Stanisław Borowski STUDIO BOROWSKI from Tomaszów Bolesławiecki, was accepted by PWiK president Józef Król. Congratulations to the winner were extended by Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Cezary Przybylski and Bolesławiec County Starost Karol Stasik.

Przedsiębiorstwo Wodociągów i Kanalizacji w Bolesławcu Sp. z o.o. operates in the field of collective water supply and wastewater collection in the Municipality of Bolesławiec, Bolesławiec Municipality, and the Municipality and Town of Lwówek Śląski. The company supplies water to 71,000 residents of 57 villages and 2 towns. The total length of the water and sewer networks it operates exceeds 1,200 km. The company manages assets worth PLN 257 million. To ensure the safety of water supplies, in terms of both quality and quantity, PWiK is carrying out numerous investments in water and sewer infrastructure and modern technologies. Investment expenditure over the last six years has exceeded PLN 40 million.

From among the submitted applications, the Competition Jury made its selection, awarding two distinctions to:

  • ENSILA GROUP Sp z o.o. s.k., a proven and flexible company specializing in the construction and installation of modular bathrooms, the production of industrial floors, and the comprehensive implementation of investment projects under the general contracting system
  • LOVINK POLSKA Sp. z o.o., which belongs to the Dutch Lovink Industries group and is based in the Wykroty area of the Special Economic Zone. The company’s tasks include enameling cast-iron grates for gas cookers manufactured by the largest household-appliance corporations. Since 2014, LOVINK Polska has also produced enameled cast-iron pots.

The hosts of the gathering, BTG vice-president Grzegorz Owczarkowski and Bolesławiec County Starost Karol Stasik, expressed their appreciation to Andrzej Udzielak, whose company, “AMMA” Udzielak & Udzielak, celebrated its 20th anniversary. Thanks to its individual approach to customers, a modern factory was established, producing the latest-generation PVC and aluminum window and door joinery.

The competition is co-organized by Bolesławiec County, Bolesławieckie Towarzystwo Gospodarcze, the Guild of Various Crafts and Small Entrepreneurship in Bolesławiec, the Regional Employers’ Association, and the Bolesławiec Center for Local Initiatives Via Sudetica.
