On Saturday’s Dzień Dobry TVN programme, a report was shown about PiS plans to introduce a two-term limit in local government, featuring, among others, Mirosław Haniszewski, head of Warta Bolesławiecka municipality, who has held the office of commune head longer than anyone else in Poland (for 28 years). “I am 61 years old; I do not feel burned out or like someone who would already want to retire,” M. Haniszewski said in the DDTVN report. “I think I am still capable of doing something good for this municipality.”
After the report, Kinga Rusin and Piotr Kraśko discussed limiting terms of office in local government with Grzegorz Sroczyński, a journalist for “Gazeta Wyborcza”. The conversation can be watched on the Dzień Dobry TVN website.
