The incident took place on Saturday, January 14, at the county hospital on Jeleniogórska Street in Bolesławiec. A woman who came to ask the on-duty doctor for information detected the smell of alcohol on him. She notified the police. As it turned out, the woman’s suspicions were confirmed. The doctor had consumed alcohol. However, since he had not yet performed any medical procedures, he will probably be liable for a petty offence.
The hospital is not commenting on the incident for now.
Unofficially, we learned that the doctor is not a permanent employee of our hospital and comes only for shifts.

We managed to establish that the doctor was intoxicated. He had 1 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled breath. He may face arrest or a fine.
