– If you are aviators at heart, would like to begin an adventure with aviation for sport, professional reasons or simply for pleasure, and get excited by the sight of an airplane or glider—it is time to take the controls yourself. Literally and figuratively—we encourage you to do so, says Marcin Długosz from the Gliding Section of the Aeroklub Zagłębia Miedziowego in Lubin. He adds: – Few people know that in Lubin, which is actually not far from Legnica, Bolesławiec, Zgorzelec or even Jelenia Góra, there is an excellent, fully equipped airport belonging to an ASSOCIATION. An airport with a runway, equipment, aircraft and staff. We are not a company but an association. We employ three people, including a mechanic, an accountant and a director responsible for flight operations. Everything else is looked after voluntarily by our members. And they are the airport in Lubin’s greatest asset. We are not sponsored by any large company; we finance ourselves through membership fees, training and flight operations.
January 20 (Friday) at 5:00 p.m. an organizational meeting for candidates interested in glider and airplane training will be held at the Aeroklub Zagłębia Miedziowego in Lubin (Lubin Airport). – At the meeting, you will learn everything about how it works, where to start, the rules and more, the organizers emphasize. – You risk nothing, apart from the possibility of meeting great people in a great place with a wonderful passion. Join us, because ultimately, we are here for you!
