One of the tasks included in the City of Bolesławiec’s budget for next year is the purchase of 13 brand-new low-floor buses meeting the Euro 6 emissions standard, fully adapted to the needs of people with disabilities and equipped with a designated space for transporting bicycles. The planned cost of the investment is PLN 12,820,000. The city is seeking funding for this investment from the Regional Operational Programme of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The requested amount is PLN 8,845,100. The local government’s own contribution is PLN 3,974,000.
As stated on the city hall’s website:
The project’s main objective is to increase the share of low-emission public transport in the City of Bolesławiec and improve the quality of public transport services while reducing the negative impact of transport on the environment. This objective may be achieved by renewing the MZK Sp. z o.o. bus fleet. The purchased vehicles will meet the highest exhaust-emission standards.
