This year, as many as 7,806 participants took part in the 9th National Logistics Olympiad. After the first round, only 712 people remained. From this group, the 61 best young logisticians from across the country, who demonstrated the greatest knowledge, were selected during the regional stage. Among them was Joanna Marcinkowska from Zespół Szkół Handlowych i Usługowych w Bolesławcu. The third-year technical school student scored 32 points in the second stage, achieving one of the best results in the country.
This year, the qualifying threshold guaranteeing advancement to the final was 24 out of a possible 48 points in the second stage. The difficulty was increased by the method used to test knowledge—a multiple-choice test. The young logisticians found question 8, concerning abbreviations used in information systems, the most difficult. The easiest question tested knowledge of barcodes; as many as 69% of the Olympiad participants answered it correctly.
The 9th National Logistics Olympiad is now entering its decisive phase—the students have begun preparing for the grand final, which will take place on March 3 in Poznań. The 61 participants will compete for the title of the best young logistician in the country. We will learn the winner’s name on March 31, during the ceremonial awards gala. In the presence of representatives of the most important companies in the TSL industry, teachers, WSL lecturers, parents and journalists, we will find out who solved the problem-based tasks best. They test not only knowledge, but also the ability to use it in everyday professional challenges. The prizes include free studies at the School of Logistics, valuable material awards, exemption from the written part of the vocational examination and internships at companies in the industry.
